Our Boat
We use a Caymas 28HB Hybrid Bay boat. She is 28’ long x 9.5’ wide with patented hull design that provides a super smooth and dry ride. Our boat has a 2nd driving station in the tower to provide a better view of what is around you. Guests often love spending a little time in the tower. The boat is at home in shallow bay areas where there is an abundance of wildlife, or out in the open water where its hull design cuts through choppy water conditions insuring a comfortable ride.
The boat has a patented hull designed by Michael Peters in Sarasota FL. Michael Peters' stepped tunnel hull design, known as the Stepped Vee Ventilated Tunnel (SVVT), is a testament to his expertise in boat design. This innovative hull design aims to improve fuel efficiency, handling, and ride quality for boaters. The SVVT design features a tunnel behind the steps, which directs air into a tunnel behind the steps, enhancing overall performance. However, it is important to note that stepped hulls can have undesirable side effects, such as unpredictable handling and potential aeration issues that may affect the engine's cooling systems. Despite these challenges, the SVVT design has been well-regarded by boatbuilders and is considered a reliable option for those seeking high-performance boats.
